What is an Energy Audit?
An energy audit can be the first step to a greener home or business. The audit’s purpose is to find out how and where a building is losing heat or wasting energy. From there, the homeowner or business owner can make changes to patch up the “energy leaks” to start saving money and energy. An energy audit can save money each month on utility bills, shrink a home or business’ carbon footprint, increase the value of a home or business, and develop a cost-effective improvement plan.
Our Approach
IAQ Management Services focuses on providing you with the information that you need to ensure that your home is as energy efficient and “green” as possible. Our approach is to:
- Review the outside of your home or office to assess any conditions that may be resulting in energy loss
- Inside the building, we inspect pipes and ducts that give off heat to verify their effectiveness.
- We review windows and trim, lighting, appliances, and heating and cooling equipment to test there efficiency.
- Our technicians will create a custom report which will explain where heat and energy loss are occurring in the building and offer suggestions for fixing the issues.
